Slow Cooker Chuck Roast
As a busy mom this is my go to for dinner on many nights! I know people love their InstantPots but I just keep coming back to my trusty CrockPot - I love getting dinner done in the morning, leaving me just a few things to throw together to get a nourishing meal on the table.
Put a roast in your slow cooker, add a favorite seasoning (I've used onion soup mix + ranch mix, or an herb blend from Trader Joe's), add some beef broth or water and set it on low. Let it cook for 8 to 10 hours - or more if needed. The meat will fall apart when done. It makes delicious gravy too!
Even easier? Add just broth to your roast, and when it's done shred and mix with BBQ sauce for simple sliders or sandwiches.
I've used Chuck, Pot and Rump Roasts from our grass-finished beef. I also love using our Pork Leg Roasts - so delicious with herbs.
